RUN FOR YOUR LIVES COMES TO BOSTON MAY 5 & 6 2012!! I'M GOING! ARE YOU?

Boston is the largest city in Massachusetts, one of the oldest cities in the United States and on May 5th & 6th it will be where people will be running for their lives! The 5K ( 3.1 miles or approx. the length of 50 football fields) obstacle course race where zombies chase you will challenge even the most experienced triathlete.

If you are racing you will be given a flag belt. The flags on that belt represent your health. Once you run out of flags...well you turn into a zombie. But if you make it to the end of the course with just a single flag or one of the health bonuses hidden throughout the course then you get to survive as a human...a little longer. There will be a series of man-made and natural obstacles through out the course and there are many different paths. If you choose wrong, your 5k run could turn into 10k very easily. Should you choose to skip the obstacles you might make it to the end but you wouldn't be eligible for any of the prizes. So you really have a lot of decisions you have to make, at a moments notice, because don't forget there are blood thirsty, virus spreading zombies all over and they want nothing more than for you to make a mistake and end up in their hungry mouths (I don't think they actually bite but it's more terrifying to think they might).

I have already signed up and I'm more than overly excited! I can't wait to find out if I would actually be able to get away from zombies. I'm assuming this is a mix bag of fast and slow zombies. Even more terrifying and fun!

You will be covered in mud and dirt so dress appropriately for the race and the weather. If you plan on camping make sure you bring the appropriate gear. Please leave your pets at home. It's probably safer for your pet in case the zombies don't get their fill and think little Fido looks like a great snack.

Once the race is over there is a celebration for those who survived and those who didn't but haven't turned yet. Live entertainment, celebrity appearances, booze, food, vendors and lots of other things zombie! oh and zombies too!!

Perhaps you have a band ...you should contact the race. They are always looking for great bands to keep the entertainment as diverse as the zombies!

If you aren't interested in running form zombies you can also sign up to be a zombie! It's nobody's fault if you want to willingly get infected.

I thought I had almost seen it all...in terms of where zombification could go...then I saw this. There are "zombie fans" and then there are "zombie freaks"! When a friend sent me the link to this website my jaw hit the floor. Zombies have officially infected every realm of our reality.
